Market of insurance services


Research objectives

The present research is aimed at getting regular and efficient information about the state of the market of insurance services for individuals in Ukraine. The research on the bank service market is conducted under the single licensed method IMDS (Insurance Market Data Service) Personal. This method is applied by all the companies within GfK group in Central and Eastern Europe.

Research approach
  • Monthly survey of 1000 respondents aged 18 years and over throughout Ukraine
  • Route sample, quota by age, sex, region and settlement size
  • Annual sample includes all Ukrainian cities with population over 50,000
  • The survey involves the method of face-to-face interview at respondents home
Questionnaire structure (once per 2 months; 6 waves a year)
  1. Insurance company positions
    • awareness of insurance companies and their advertising;
    • business relationship with insurance companies and the main insurance company;
    • insurance company attractiveness and potential;
  2. Awareness and usage of insurance services
    • Awareness of different kinds of insurance;
    • Usage of different kinds of insurance and initiative in buying an insurance policy;
    • Insurance company positions in the market of different services;
    • Plans regarding insurance prolongation and plans on usage of new insurance services.
  3. Insurance company selection criterion;
    • Satisfaction with the main insurance company and factors, influencing the overall satisfaction with insurance company;
    • Sources of information about new insurance services.
Research outputs:
  • Analytical research report in PowerPoint;
  • Data distribution tables in Excel for a year by such parameters as age, sex, education, occupation, living standards, residing region, settlement size, main insurance company;
  • Data in tracking software DataViewer and in SPSS;
  • Research report presentation in Kyiv (if required).

Research results are delivered twice a year. Report for the first half of the year is based on data collected in February, April and June; report for the second half of the year – on data collected in August, October and December (3000 interviews per half year).

All research outputs are delivered in electronic format in Ukrainian.

Cost
  • Price of annual data package for 2007 year – 24 000 UAH (VAT incl.), if payment is effected from Ukraine or 4000 EUR, if payment is made from abroad.
  • Price of semi-annual data package – 16 000 UAH (VAT incl.), if payment is effected from Ukraine or 2700 EUR, if payment is made from abroad.
