Major domestic appliances market is on its way up, with the growth driver being more upscale items

In 2007’H1, in 45 Ukrainian cities 100K+ almost 1,300 items of major domestic appliances were sold for the total amount of 400 million US dollars. Compared to 2006’H1, sales of major domestic appliances picked up by 9.5% in volume and almost by 16% in value. Sales went up in all segments of the market for major domestic appliances. The only exception made washing machines. This was revealed by the results of the durables sales monitoring run by GfK Ukraine under the framework of the nonfood panel in 45 Ukrainian cities 100K+
