Corporate news and press releasesGap is widening between mid-size and the largest Ukrainian cities09/06/2008 Based on the results of the Ukrainian 100K+ Cities Research, done by GfK Ukraine, the average annual increase in the per capita income have recently amounted to 30.4% (in period 2 compared to period 1*). The 2005–2007 leaders by income levels were the following 1M cities: Odesa, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk; the poorest oblast centers were Kherson and Kirovohrad. Simultaneously, the centralization of the Ukrainian economy causes the gap between rich and poor oblast centers to widen. |
