Ukrainians prefer more expensive domestic appliances

In Q1’07, in 45 cities of Ukraine with population 100K+ almost 709,000 units of major domestic appliances were sold for the total amount of 208,6 million USD. Compared to Q1’06, the market for major domestic appliances picked up by 17% in volume and almost by 25% in value. Washing machines and fridges scooped the biggest share of sales (34% in value for each category). This data is obtained from the results of durables sales monitoring under Retail Technology Panel run by GfK Ukraine in 45 cities of Ukraine with 100K+ population.
